Braai Shack in Wolverton, Milton Keynes is a family-owned restaurant offering a taste of home cooking away from home. A genuine Southern African experience.

The ‘New Queen Victoria Pub’ in Church St was left unloved for a number of years . But after extensive renovations and much needed TLC, it reopened.

One side of the building operating as a traditional pub. Whilst on the other, the English Sunnyside Up Café serves breakfast and lunch during the day. Transforming into the Braai Shack restaurant in the evenings.

Specialising in South African cuisine and beverages I have yet to find a menu which comes close.

Spicy prawns, chicken livers and bunny chow.

Exotic meats such as crocodile, zebra which are served on a hot rock. Wors rolls, vet koek and sosaties.

Growing up in Zimbabwe Roz and Mavis know their kitchen and how to bring back those special childhood memories….koeksisters, milktert and malva pudding.
